We’re a growing family company and the only authorized EcoWater dealer in Nova Scotia and Cape Breton. We’re looking for a technician who takes clean, safe water as personally as we do.

Full-time, Monday to Friday. $28 to $32 an hour.

Water Treatment Technician / Installer

Our technicians are the face of EcoWater Nova Scotia. You’ll service and install residential and commercial water treatment systems: troubleshooting products for required repairs, changing filters and UV bulbs, cleaning and sanitizing water tanks, and inspecting systems for leaks and malfunctions before they become problems.

We’re looking for someone with 2 to 3 years of experience servicing and installing water treatment systems. Have solid plumbing experience instead? We’re willing to train the right candidate.

The Role at a Glance

  • $28 to $32 an hour
  • Full-time, 40 hours a week
  • Monday to Friday, with occasional overnight travel (accommodations provided)
  • In person, based in Halifax, NS

What You’ll Do

A hands-on service and installation role, on the road to homes and businesses across Nova Scotia.

  • Troubleshoot and repair. Diagnose product issues and carry out the required repairs, in the field and in the shop.
  • Handle routine service. Change water filters, clean and sanitize water tanks, and change UV bulbs on a regular service schedule.
  • Inspect as you go. Visually check every system for leaks and malfunctions before they become someone’s bad day.
  • Install new systems. Install residential and commercial water treatment equipment, sized and set up properly.
  • Work safely. Follow company and customer safety policies and procedures on every job, every time.
  • Bring the gear. Transport your tools and equipment to customer sites, with regular and reliable attendance.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience

    • 2 to 3 years servicing and installing residential and commercial water treatment systems
    • Strong mechanical background and technical aptitude
    • References specific to residential and commercial water treatment service and installation
    • Technical school degree an asset

    • Your own tools
    • Valid driver’s licence, with a clear driver’s abstract and criminal record check upon job offer
    • Able to bend, squat, climb ladders, walk with heavy equipment, and lift 70 pounds
    • Able to reliably commute to Halifax, NS, or plan to relocate before starting
